Happy New Year!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and is having a great 2008 so far! It's been so long since I've been on this blog, that I forgot how to sign in and get stuff posted!

Misty and I did our annual Gingerbread house decorating. This time, we didn't eat too much candy and most of it ended up on the house.

Thanks again to Jayme and Rick for having us all to their house for a delicious dinner and fun gift exchange. We had a terrific time and I've been craving that Hawaiian pork ever since!

Misty just went back to school after her 2 week Christmas break. It was nice that Christmas came early in the break, so she had some arts & crafts gifts she received to keep her busy. She also went to Grandma K & Grandpa Don's for a few days down in Sahuarita. She had a fun time visiting with them and hanging out with her cousins, Maya and Sophia. She also met her cousin, Rowdy, for the first time and loved him! She was amazed at how smart he is and that he can count in Spanish and he isn't even 3 yet!

We were able to visit with a lot of family over the holidays. On Christmas day, we were invited to the Webb's house for a brunch. The girls really outdid themselves and we had everything from corned-beef hash to homemade cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs, bacon, and much more! Yum! One great part of that day was that Terry brought Kathi home for a few hours so she could share in the celebration. She was awake and alert while she was there. Everyone took turns taking photos with her in front of the Christmas tree. Terry also brought Carol to the house. Carol was Kathi's roommate at the nursing home for several months until Carol went into the hospital and when they discharged her, they sent her to a different nursing facility. She formed quite a bond with Kathi and the family while they were roomies. She was a great help to Terry while he was out of town doing his flight-training for 6 weeks. She kept Terry informed of how Kathi was doing, who was visiting her, etc. Needless to say, she is considered part of the family now. She is a wonderful lady and we all love her! For Christmas, she gave each one of us girls a hand-made scarf, made by a resident of the home she is in.

We have much to be thankful for this year. We hope everyone has a safe and prosperous 2008.
