Wow...this year has gotten off to a busy start for our family! I know I should be updating this blog more often, but it's hard to find the time. We've been busy with work, birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, funerals...you name it!
Lynn's sister, Kathi, passed away on January 19th. She is missed by all that knew her and we think of her every day. We know that she is in a better place, but that doesn't make it easier on those left behind.
On February 2nd, Misty became a teenager, the big 13! We had a pizza party at our house and invited lots of family and friends. Thank you to everyone that came and for all the nice gifts. Misty received a couple pairs of earrings as gifts. She didn't have her ears pierced, so the next week after her birthday, we went to the mall and she used her birthday money to get them pierced. She's very excited to be able to wear the cute earrings she got and the others that she purchased at the jewelry store!
On February 9th, we went to a baby shower for Lynn's niece, Connie. She had her baby on the 19th...little Michael Reed. He is so cute and has such puffy cheeks! Congratulations to them!
Misty and I are getting more and more excited for our trip to Italy in less than 2 weeks. My mom, my sister, Misty and I will be leaving on March 7th and will visit Rome and Florence. We will return on March 15th. We plan to see monumental Rome, visit the Sistine Chapel, travel to Pompeii, and see the leaning tower of Pisa. We'll definitely post photos here when we get back! This is Misty's first visit to a foreign country and she is a little nervous about that. In fact, I am a little nervous myself. I hope the Italians like us Americans!
